JAMES BRADFORD JR.
James Bradford, Jr. was born on June 19, 1926, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was the son of the late James Bradford, Sr. and Gracie Williams. He departed this life peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Life Touch Hospice.
On July 18, 1949, he married the love of his life, Inez Knighten. They were married for 63 years until her death. To this union, three children were born.
He was drafted into the United States Army in 1946. After completing his military obligations, he returned to El Dorado. Upon graduating from Washington High School, he attended Arkansas AM&N College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Education. He worked in the El Dorado School District until his retirement.
James accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with New Bethel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Inez Bradford; son, Albert Bradford; two brothers, Clifford Bradford and Robert A. Bradford; and one sister, Lois Brown.
He leaves to cherish wonderful memories his daughter, Barbara Cutter of El Dorado, Arkansas, and one son, James Bradford, III (Letri) of Georgetown, South Carolina; one brother, Robert L. Bradford, of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren; Nikola Jones (Henry), Brandon Cutter (Sharjuana), Edmund Bradford (Jazzmine), Jarrett Bradford (Angela), and Nicholas Bradford; nine great grandchildren, Kawahn, Naomi, Kwali, Tyja, Heaven, Hayden, Collyn, Trinity, Zuria, Raelyn, and Karter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at New Bethel Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with pastor Bobby Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Lott Burgy Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas. Public visitation will be held at Andrews Funeral Home on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
