Power of the Purse Fundraiser to be held June 7

Power of the Purse, a fundraiser for the Union County Dolly Parton Imagination Library, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, at the Granite Club in El Dorado.

Silent Auction including designer purses, a fashion show from local merchants, heavy hor d’oeuvres, cash bar, and entertainment by Amy Allen.

Tickets are $35 and after May 31, tickets are $40.

Habitat for Humanity off for Memorial Day holiday

El Dorado Habitat for Humanity will not work today due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Work will commence at 8 a.m. June 2 at House No. 41, 537 E. 2nd St. Volunteers will be installing baseboards, shutters and finishing up soffits.

WHS Class of 1968 50th Reunion meeting to be held June 2

The Washington High School Class of 1968 will have a 50th Class Reunion June 29 through July 1.

Meet Me at the Court Youth to conduct monthly mission project

Meet Me at the Court Youth will conduct its monthly mission project at 2 p.m. today at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Health Center, 2415 W. Hillsboro.

The group will be handing out magazines to Courtyard residents.

MMC youth captains are Kurtishonna Jefferson, Arrionna Brown and Joseph Brice.
