#WearBlueMay2

Foster care awareness: The Union County Judge Mike Loftin and El Dorado Mayor Frank Hash both signed a proclamation declaring May 2, 2018 as Foster Care Awareness Day in Union County and El Dorado. The proclamation was read inside the Union County Courthouse and was part of the #WearBlueMay2 campaign. The proclamation states that there are children in Union County and El Dorado who have experienced devastating losses of family and identity due to neglect. “The foster care community throughout the county and city gives these children love and support and helps encourage and prepare them for the years ahead,” the proclamation states. “We urge all citizens to come forward and do something positive that will help change a lifetime for children and youth in foster care.”
