Area residents have another chance to provide their input on a master renovation and expansion plan for the El Dorado-Union County Recreation Complex.

The last in a series of three public hearings will be held at 5 p.m. June 21 in the Council Chamber of City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting will be to identify needs and priorities for the complex and to seek feedback on a master plan to improve and expand the facility.

Following the hearing, city and county officials and members of the complex board of directors will sift through those priorities and include them in a grant application that will be submitted to the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. The groups will be applying for a matching grant to help fund the master plan.

Ethnic minorities, people with special needs, people over 55 and special interest groups are encouraged to attend and participate in the hearing.

Those who are unable to attend the meeting may submit comments by calling Mayor Frank Hash’s office at 870-862-7911 or by mailing them to City of El Dorado, P.O. Box 2170, El Dorado, Arkansas, 71730.
