Jennifer K. Wylie will be the speaker when the Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at Buffet Palace restaurant in front of Walmart.

Having the vision of a leader and the heart of a servant, Wylie delights in improving quality of life and in strengthening others regardless of her role. She was born and raised in El Dorado by her parents, Curtis and Sarah Kinard.

She graduated from El Dorado High School and later acquired a bachelor’s degree from William Woods College in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Memphis State University. Her work experience includes over 14 years as a speech-language pathologist in the medical, educational, and private sectors. She served First Baptist Church El Dorado for four years as the Children’s Minister and co-founded HOPE Landing, a nonprofit that serves children with disabilities in Union county and the surrounding region, where she served as President and CEO for six years.

She is presently Founder and President of The Eagle Foundation – a model for asset-based community development that unites and strengthens those who are making a positive difference, and fills in the gaps using new methods with existing resources to achieve high impact, sustainable change. EAGLE’s primary focus is on building community from within by helping children and adolescents become the men and women God created them to be – healthy, confident, and whole.

Wylie’s world centers on her faith in Jesus Christ, her family, and her community of friends and neighbors. Home is in the rural setting of South Arkansas just outside of El Dorado where she resides with her family.
