Strong gets past Dermott

DERMOTT - Dynasty Davis scored 23 of her 29 points in the second half, as Strong rallied to knock off Dermott 45-33 in a Class 1A-2A District 16 clash.

The Lady Bulldogs (15-5, 7-2) trailed 24-17 at intermission before Davis and Strong's defense took over in the second half.

Strong outscored Dermott 29-9 in the second half to take control of the game, and Davis buried six 3-pointers to aid the Lady Bulldogs' cause.

Kiki Shelton was also in double figures with 11 points for Strong, who will play at Woodlawn on Friday.

In the junior girls game, Strong topped Dermott 35-22. Chrishunda Williams had 17 points and Holly Baker added 13 points for Strong.

DREW CENTRAL 38

MONTICELLO - Jada Archie and Taykeetria Rogers each recorded double-doubles for the Lady Dragons (13-11, 8-6), who picked up a key road victory in Class 3A-4A District 12 play.

Archie had 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Rogers narrowly missed a triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

Bryanna Raye had 12 points and two steals to round out Junction City's double-digit scorers.

Keyanna Ross had eight points and two steals, and Jhonda Webster snared eight rebounds in the win.

Junction City jumped out to a 17-6 lead after the opening period before taking a 24-15 lead at intermission.

The visitors led 41-26 after three periods before winning by the final margin.

PARKERS CHAPEL 45,

EMERSON 30

EMERSON - Terri Malone had 21 points for the Lady Trojans (8-15, 6-7), who used a strong fourth quarter to pull away to pick up a road victory in Class 1A-2A District 15 action.

Leading 29-23 after three periods of play, the Lady Trojans outscored Emerson 16-7 in the final stanza to seal the victory.

T.K. Burson added 15 points for Parkers Chapel.

FORDYCE - Caitlin Bulliner had 21 points to lead Fordyce to a win in Class 3A-4A District 12 play.

Sharnes McGhee had 16 points for Smackover (11-10, 7-8).

MONTICELLO - The Dragons saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end against the Pirates in a Class 3A-4A District 12 thriller.

The Dragons (13-7, 9-5) had several shots in the final seconds, but couldn't get one to fall.

The game was a nip-and-tuck affair throughout with the Dragons trailing 33-31 at halftime and 44-42 after three periods.

Terrell Gibson had 13 points, while Hishmma Taylor added 11 points for the Dragons.

Jalen Davis and Jakobe Fisher were also in double figures with 10 points apiece.

Trenton Eubanks had 16 points and Monteil Daniels had 12 points for the Pirates.

In the junior boys game, Drew Central outlasted Junction City 34-33. Ryan Allen had 10 points and Jeremiah Williams added eight points for the Dragons.

DERMOTT - Derrion Davis led a balanced attack with 25 points for the Bulldogs, who fell just short in a Class 1A-2A District 16 play.

After trailing 15-13 after the opening period, the Rams extended their lead to 41-32 at halftime before taking a 63-52 edge into the final stanza.

Trey Smith had 19 points, while Jadarrius Dixon had 14 points and Tyrese Rogers finished with 10 points for the Bulldogs (9-12, 4-5).

FORDYCE - Jaheim Brown had 13 points for the Redbugs, who collected a home victory in Class 3A-4A District 12 action.

Damarous White had 13 points and Bryce Lockhart chipped in with 12 points for Smackover (4-15, 4-11).

SPRING HILL - Ten players scored for the Trojans (20-3, 11-1), who cruised to their 20th win of the season in Class 1A-2A District 15 play.

Nate Garrett-Evans had 15 points, while Josh Osborn added 13 points and Dawson Goodwin finished with 11 points.

After leading 15-6 after the opening period, the Trojans jumped out to a 36-14 edge at halftime en route to victory.

EL DORADO FRESHMAN GIRLS WIN ON ROAD

PINE BLUFF - Hannah Turbeville and Erica Moore had 10 points apiece, as El Dorado's freshman girls basketball team rolled to a 38-19 win at Pine Bluff Robey on Tuesday.

Joi Johnson added seven points for the Lady Wildcats (10-3).

WILDCATS DOWNED BY PINE BLUFF ROBEY

PINE BLUFF - Isaiah Ramey had 12 points, but it wasn't enough, as El Dorado's freshman boys basketball team fell at Pine Bluff Robey 47-26 on Tuesday night.

Jarmel Love had seven points for the Wildcats (7-7), who were in a tie game at 13-all at halftime before Pine Bluff Robey took a 30-17 edge after three quarters of play.

WILDKITTENS CRUISE TO ROAD WIN

PINE BLUFF - Sharmon Rester had 14 points, as Barton's eighth-grade boys basketball team downed Pine Bluff Robey 42-31 on Tuesday.

Mario Ganter had eight points and Damontae Norman finished with six points for the Wildkittens (12-9).

BARTON FALLS ON ROAD

PINE BLUFF - Kyra Harris had five points, but Barton's eighth-grade girls basketball team fell at Pine Bluff Robey 15-13 on Tuesday.

Kalese Moseby and Braylee Johnson had four points apiece for Barton (10-9).
