Union County Master Gardeners to hold “Dirt Friends Festival” seminar

The Union County Master Gardeners “Dirt Friends Festival” seminar, featuring gardening experts Janet Carson and Chris Olsen, will be held from 9 a.m. until noon March 10 at College Avenue Church of Christ in El Dorado.

There will be refreshments and door prizes. Admission will be $10 per person.

South Arkansas Community College to offer non-credit cooking classes

A number of non-credit cooking classes will be offered through the community education office at South Arkansas Community College from February through May.

Each will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. at the El Dorado High School Teaching Kitchens.

Classes will focus on cream puffs and filling on Monday ($15); crawfish recipes on March 5 ($20); bridal and baby showers on April 9 ($15) and Mother’s Day treats on May 7 ($15).
