RONALD R. YARBROUGH

Born during World War II, Ron was 18 months old before his father saw him at the end of the war. Ron graduated from El Dorado High School in 1962 and continued his education at Southern State College in Magnolia. In 1963, his college years were interrupted after he suffered severe injuries in a car accident. After a lengthy recuperation, he returned to college and graduated in 1968. Growing up Ron had a love of the West and after graduation fulfilled a dream of living in Arizona for many years. While living in Arizona and later in Arkansas, he worked in the lumber industry until 2011. During his lifetime, Ron enjoyed horse-back riding, playing a round of golf, listening to music from the Big Band era, reading books about the old West and especially spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, grandparents, Nathan B. and Ida Murph Yarbrough and James and Minnie Ramsey Tinsley. He is survived by his wife, Pat Chaney Yarbrough of El Dorado; daughters, Jennifer Yarbrough of Phoenix, Arizona; Laura Yarbrough of Shanghai, China; son, Eric Bearden of Salzburg, Austria; sister, Carolyn Estes of Camden, Arkansas; grandson, Darian Caulkins of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law, Bill Chaney (June) of Zachary, Louisiana; beloved niece, Kimberly Smith (Bo) of Camden, Arkansas; nephew, Eric Estes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many special cousins.
