The El Dorado Service League is finalizing preparations for the annual winter gala - “Toast the Night Away: A Masquerade Ball” - which is set for Saturday.
The signature event for the service league will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the El Dorado Conference Center. The black-tie affair allows guests to wear their best formal wear and join the community for an evening of music and revelry. The event will feature a silent auction with items from retailers around the region, including beauty products, jewelry, spa services, furniture, art, Yeti coolers and hunting gear.
Live music will be provided by Dean Agus & The Legacy Band, a group of musicians from Hot Springs who will play everything from classic rock ‘n’ roll to earthy blues.
Tickets for the gala are available for $50 through any El Dorado Service League member and at Murphy-Pitard Jewelers. Tickets for the champagne toast, sponsored by Murphy-Pitard Jewelers, will be available for $20. Each glass is accompanied by the chance to win a .76 carat, round brilliant cut Antwerp, Belgium diamond valued at $4,000.
All proceeds from the event will benefit El Dorado Service League’s programs to benefit the children of Union County. The league works to meet unserved medical, educational, charitable, religious and other needs. The organization works with school counselors, social workers and other professionals to identify specific needs and provides volunteer services and donated goods directly to families in need. The league also provides targeted, one-time endowments to charitable organizations with a demonstrated need.
The presenting sponsor for the Toast the Night Away fundraiser is Murphy-Pitard Jewelers, which has been the presenting sponsor of the event for years, and this year’s event sponsor is Milam Construction/Apex Redi-Mixed Concrete. Other event sponsors include HEPCO, Timberlane Wines and Spirits, Cole’s Jewelers and Hampton Inn.
