PARKERS CHAPEL - The combination of Dynasty Davis and solid defense proved to be the key to success for Strong on Thursday night, as the Lady Bulldogs knocked off Parkers Chapel 44-22 in a battle of Union County rivals.

Strong led 15-14 at intermission, but the Lady Bulldogs held the Lady Trojans scoreless in the third period as part of a second half that saw the visitors outscore Parkers Chapel 29-8 to pick up a road victory.

Kiki Shelton added 12 points for Strong (10-5).

T.K. Burson had 11 points for Parkers Chapel.

In the junior girls game, Parkers Chapel downed Strong 35-28.

Ali Looney had 12 points and Macie Wood added 10 points for the Lady Trojans.

Chrishunda Williams had 11 points with Daylan Howard and Holly Baker finishing with seven points each for Strong.

WARREN 59,

JUNCTION CITY 37

JUNCTION CITY - Jada Archie had 17 points for the Lady Dragons (9-9, 4-4), but it wasn't enough, as the visitors jumped out to a 16-4 lead after the opening period before going on to collect a road win in Class 3A-4A District 12 action.

Faith Jackson had 22 points for Warren, who led 27-13 at intermission before outscoring Junction City 25-10 in the third period.

Taykeetria Rogers and Keyanna Ross had seven points apiece for Junction City.

In the junior girls game, Warren came away with a 31-9 victory.

Leslie Reddick had four points and Tori McLelland finished with three points for Junction City.

BOYS

JUNCTION CITY 66,

WARREN 49

JUNCTION CITY - The Dragons (8-6, 4-4) avenged two losses earlier this season to the Lumberjacks by pulling away in the fourth quarter to win in Class 3A-4A District 12 play.

Leading 46-40 after three periods, the Dragons outscored the Lumberjacks 20-9 the rest of the way.

Terrell Gibson was one of four players in double figures with 20 points for the Dragons.

Jalen Davis and Jerrodney Tubbs chipped in with 11 points apiece, while Hishmma Taylor added 10 points.

Vincent Steppes had 21 points and Treylon Burks finished with 18 points for Warren, who made six 3-pointers to take a 22-16 lead after the opening period, but the Dragons roared back to take a 32-26 lead at intermission.

PARKERS CHAPEL 50,

STRONG 45

PARKERS CHAPEL - Nate Garrett-Evans had 20 points and Dawson Goodwin added 11 points, as the Trojans (15-3) fought off the Bulldogs.

Parkers Chapel led 23-22 at halftime and 36-30 after three periods before winning by the final margin.

"We played well defensively, but we were a little out of sync offensively," said Parkers Chapel coach Josh Langley. "We were up the whole game and just couldn't pull away from them. Our guys kept battling and found a way to get it done. That's what good teams do. They find a way and that's what we did tonight."

Isaiah Brown added seven points, while Amari Bell had 14 rebounds and Josh Osborn had three blocked shots for Parkers Chapel.

Derrion Davis and Trey Smith had 14 points apiece for Strong (7-10).
