GUY L. WEBB JR.

Guy Lex Webb Jr. age 72 of El Dorado, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at the CHI St. Vincent Infirmary.

He was born on July 7, 1945 in El Dorado. Preceding him in death by his loving wife of 55 years Wanda Lee Thurlkill Webb. His parents Guy Lex Webb Sr. and Ruth Ann Webb Galbraith. His brothers Bill and Johnny Evans, and sisters Guylene Owens and Pam Owens. Left to carry on his memory are his children Kim Hendrix and her husband Randy; Gidget Webb; Lex Webb and his wife Jessica. Grandchildren Krystal Swint and her husband John; Kameron Craig and his wife Stacie; Guy Lex Webb, Gabe Webb, Conner Webb, Jane Webb, and Kye Webb. Great-grandchildren Kylee Swint; Dixie and Alaina Grace Craig. His sisters Jean Hall and Lois Ann Patterson, many nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.

Guy, better known as Pop to all of us, was a welder by trade. He worked at MidState for many years. He also owned his own company, Webb Welding, where he worked with his son for more than 30 years. He also had the joy of working with all his grandsons and he cherished every moment. Pop loved his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren his many trades.

Guy enjoyed working and hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for going to car shows with Douglass and Diana Dove. He was a long-time member of Mt Union Baptist Church. Pop loved to go antiquing and show off his latest find. He loved everyone and wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone out. Pop will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mt Union Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Services will be Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Union Baptist Church in El Dorado. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery.
