Bobby E. Phillips, 80, of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Hudson Nursing Home. He was born July 10, 1937, to O.C. and Nellie M. Forsythe Phillips in North Little Rock, who preceded him in death.
He was a retired butcher and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Bobby never met a stranger. He had a servant’s heart and was a craftsman. Bobby loved antiques, and he loved the Lord and his church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Phillips; two daughters, Jan Collins (Thomas), Shelly Owens (Keith); son, Chris Phillips (Karla) all of El Dorado; three grandsons, Ryan T. Collins (Sarah) of Alexandria, Virginia, Blaine Phillips; granddaughter, Paige Owens (Shane); four great grandchildren, Beckett Collins, Trenton, Hunter, and Emma Grace Owens; special cousin, Jim Forsythe (Kathy) of Bearden; and numerous other cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
