Air Force retirement ceremony

Retirement: Above, Col. Lawrence Hicks and wife Elizabeth kiss during the colonel's retirement ceremony. Family and friends accompanied U.S. Air Force Col. Lawrence Hicks as he was honored for his 25 years of service during a retirement ceremony Saturday at the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Center in El Dorado. His brother, retired Lt. Col. Clifton Hicks, presided over the event that recognized the colonel’s family. Hicks was presented with several awards and handed out gifts to family members included his parents, Larry and Rosie Hicks of El Dorado; his son, Bryce Hicks; daughter, Marquina Hicks; and son, Texas Christian University ROTC student, Brendan Hicks. Col. Gerald Donohue, commander of the 19th Airlift Wing at Little Rock AFB was the keynote speaker and Chaplain Lt. Col. Marty Fields prayed for the Hicks family. Left, Col.
