Funeral for Ricky Lee Beaird, 63, of Spearsville, Louisiana, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church near Spearsville with Pastor Glenn Neimeyer and Pat Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, Louisiana.
Ricky was born on Nov. 25, 1953 in Bernice, Louisiana. He worked in the oilfield and drove trucks for many years. He enjoyed riding horses and antique cars. He was a proud owner of an ’87 El Camino Hot Rod.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Agnes Beaird of Spearsville.
He is survived by his daughters, Casey Beaird Colvin and husband, Devlin of Spearsville, and Sierra Beaird of Spearsville; one son, Jeremy Winter; two sisters, Elizabeth Garris and husband, C.C. of Farmerville and Brenda Griffith and husband, Jess, of Haughton, Louisiana; two granddaughters, Billie Beaird and Willow Beaird; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Cornelius Heard, Roy “Chip” Payne, Ben Barnes, Mark Bearden, Steve Bodine and Jessie Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Williams, Pepper Green, Jeremy Winter, James Smith and Casey Woods.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. today at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville. The family will also receive friends and family from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
