BRIAN A. SMITH

BRIAN A. SMITH

Brian Allen Smith, 27, of El Dorado, and formerly of Crossett, entered in to eternal peace on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.

Brian was born on Nov. 20, 1989 in Monroe, Louisiana, to Gina Boyer Smith Herndon of El Dorado and Ronnie Bee Smith of Crossett.

He attended Crossett High School, Abiding Faith and graduated from South Arkansas Community College in welding/pipe fitting. Brian was an avid hunter, fisherman and had a heart for music that he showed through his guitars and keyboard.

His heart did not stop there. He was always there to help when called upon. He had unconditional love for all those he met. He loved children and they adored him.

His fishing tales were like his Papaws, he could catch a minnow and by the time it reached the ice chest it was the size of Jonah’s Whale. He loved the outdoors and could have lived before his time, totally off the land.

Preceding him in death was his Papaw, Darwin Bee “Dee” Smith; and his maternal great-grandfather, Howard Taft Burk Sr.

Survivors include his parents; his brother, Bradley Bee Smith of El Dorado; one sister, Ashley Izora Smith of Milo; grandmothers, Barbara Freeland (maternal) and Norma Smith (paternal); one aunt, Donna Smith Vinson (Steven Dale) of Pineville; two uncles, Trey Burk and Terrell C. Boyer (Nikki), both of Dallas; one grandfather, Mike Burk (maternal); numerous nieces; cousins; other family members and one special friend, Duane Amis.

A celebration of his life was held on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 with services held immediately following at 2 p.m. at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Cremation services were entrusted to Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, 419 S. Madison Ave., El Dorado, AR 71730.
