A couple in Oklahoma is looking for relatives or friends of a man from El Dorado who died on Thanksgiving.

Jamie and Linda Guerrero had known William L. Kelley, also known as Willie, for 30 years, with Jamie Guerrero and Kelley working together on railroads. Linda Guerrero said Kelley began in Arkansas working for Rock Island, eventually going to Oklahoma and working for Union Pacific with Jamie Guerrero.

She said Kelley spent holidays with the Guerrero’s as he had no family in Oklahoma,

“He was a very private man, he didn’t give out a lot of information,” she said. “That’s why we’re having so much trouble trying to find some relatives.”

On Thanksgiving, she said, the couple found Kelley dead and they have been trying to find people who knew him to help guide them on how he may have wanted to be buried.

“We want to do the right thing by him and we don’t even know what to do,” she said. “We don’t know what his wishes would be as far as burial.”

Linda Guerrero said Kelley was born April 4, 1940, and she believes he had a brother named Robert, who has also died, and both were from El Dorado.

Anyone with information about Kelley is asked to contact the Guerrero’s at 580-817-1496.
