COLUMBUS, Ohio – El Dorado native Isabella Gati touched fifth Saturday in the Women's 200 butterfly at the 2017 USA Swimming AT&T Winter Nationals, held at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Gati, a senior at The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia, was named 18-and-under national champion in that race.
Olympic gold medalist Kelsi Worrell, of New Jersey, led the race from start-to-finish, posting a final time of 1:53.16.
The silver medal was won by University of Louisville's Grace Oglesby, who held steady at second throughout the race, with a time of 1:54.28, while bronze went to Australian Meg Bailey (Ohio State) and her time of 1:55.40.
University of Kentucky's Haley McInerny took fourth overall with a time of 1:56.91, followed by Gati’s 1:57.72.
Gati, who has signed to swim at Kentucky, finished 14th Friday in the Women's 100 butterfly. She is the daughter of El Dorado's Kenneth and Daion Gati.
