GRADY SNOWDEN JR.

Grady Snowden Jr., 73, of El Dorado, began his eternal life on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at his home.

He was born on March 23, 1944 in El Dorado. He was the son of Grady Snowden Sr. and Georgia Cole Snowden. He was a 1964 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in El Dorado. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War for three years, where he was severely injured. He attended Oil Belt where he received his auto mechanic degree and Dresse Mechanic School in Kansas City, Kansas, where he earned his diesel mechanic degree. He was employed by Waste Management. He united with Morning Star Baptist Church. Grady was an accomplished cattleman, outdoorsman and cowboy at heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joelaun Snowden; two daughters, Veronica Kezzee and Elizabeth Renae Green; a great-grandson,Tyrei Clark; and two brothers, George Norton Snowden and Jake Raymond Snowden.

Survivors are his devoted wife, Thomasine E. Holt Snowden of El Dorado; three sons, Grady D. Snowden (Rhonda) of El Dorado, Jorman Snowden of Bernice, Louisiana and George Snowden (Shay) of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Undrea N. Reed of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Edward Snowden of El Dorado; three sisters, Deborah Montgomery (Ricky) and Lucille Snowden of El Dorado, and Sheila Swift (Phillip) of Shreveport, Louisiana; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at First Baptist Church/Cordell with Dr. Pierce Moore officiating. Cremation arrangements were by Andrews Funeral Home.
