HOPE - El Dorado's softball team traveled to Hope on Friday and pounded out a 17-8 win over the Lady Bobcats. The Lady Wildcats improved to 10-8 overall and 5-2 in conference.
Marissa Rice was 3-for-3 with a double and two walks. Sally Walthall was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Payton Scarlett was 1-for-3 and scored three runs. Allyson Silmon had a hit, drove in a run, scored twice and stole two bases. Kelsey Howard had a hit, a run, RBI and a stolen base. Taylor Mayo had a hit and scored twice. Larran Simmons had a hit, drove in a run and scored a run. Ava Dunn walked and stole a base.
In the circle, Grace Hargett allowed four hits, three walks and hit two batters while striking out five.

FORDYCE - The Lady Bucks scored seven runs in the fifth to put away the pesky Lady Bugs on Friday. Smackover improved to 27-2 on the season.
Ashley Haynes was the winning pitcher, allowing a run in the first on three hits. She finished with a four hitter, striking out six while walking one and hitting a batter.
Tessa Watson was 2-for-2 with three runs scored. Lydia Pullin was 2-for-2, including a three-run triple in the fifth. Mallory Brewer drove in a run with a double. Lexi Gilbert and Karli Goocher both had hits.
Smackover hosts Harmony Grove on Tuesday in Norphlet, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
