JERRY L. McDONALD

Mr. Jerry Lynn McDonald, 74, of Strong, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Arkansas Hospice/Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs. Mr. McDonald was born in Junction City, on Dec. 5, 1941. He was retired from working on a tow boat as a Diesel Engineer, in his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He was of the Baptist faith.

He married his wife of 31 years Mrs. Vida Verneal (Parker) McDonald on Feb. 21, 1985. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Jeffery McDonald of Franklin, Tenn., Paul McDonald of Rayville, La. and Terry Street of Hattiesburg, Miss.; five grandchildren, Melissa, Taylor and Jake McDonald, Andrew and Jeremy Street; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Parker Street; three brothers, Ronnie McDonald of Strong, Joe McDonald of El Dorado and Leonard McDonald, Jr. of Junction City and one sister, Alice McDonald of West Monroe, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard E. and Marie A. (Pratt) McDonald; two grandsons, Scott and Cody McDonald and one sister, Betty Marie McDonald.

Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Tuesday.
