EHS freshmen win at Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF - El Dorado's freshman girls basketball team picked up a road win on Monday, as the Lady Wildcats knocked off Pine Bluff 32-20 on Monday night.

Larran Simmons led a balanced attack with 10 points for the Lady Wildcats (10-5), who will wrap up their season on Thursday at Texarkana.

Jessica Morton had eight points, while Breya Clark added four points.

Sharaya Archer and Tasia Richardson had three points apiece, while Grace Murry and Lonneshia Traylor finished with two points apiece.

WOODLAWN - The top-seeded Lady Bulldogs advanced in the 7AA-East Jr. District Tournament with a comfortable victory over the Lady Rams. Strong's girls improved to 12-0 on the season.

Amaya Smith led Strong with 21 points while Dynasty Davis contributed 13.

Christina Jones led the Lady Rams with 12 points.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to action on Thursday against the winner of Junction City and Rison.

WOODLAWN - The Bears jumped out to a 30-12 lead en route to advancing at the 7-2A East Junior District Tournament on Monday.

Jacoby Edwards had seven points for the Trojans, who finish the season with an 11-10 record.
