The victim had obvious bruises and cuts from a domestic dispute that involved alcohol, but refused medical treatment. The victim did allow photographs to be taken as evidence. John Lewis was charged with aggravated assault of a family member Friday in Union County District Court with Judge George VanHook.

He was issued a $10,000 signatory bond with four registered voters, a no contact order with the victim and given a 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew with a work exemption. Lewis asked VanHook if he could speak. Told he could, Lewis asked how he could get four people to sign for him without the numbers in his cell phone. The judge and the officers assured him they would accommodate him.

• Jamie McKenzie was charged with residential burglary and felony theft of property. He did not have a definite residence or phone number. He was issued a $25,000 bond in any form acceptable to the sheriff and a 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. curfew.
