Funeral for Sarah Fae Crowell Pridgen, 71, was held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Marion First Baptist Church in Marion, La., with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt officiating. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, La.
Pridgen, a homemaker, went to her heavenly home Nov. 21, 2015. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion and enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Sarah Elizabeth Crowell; one brother, Doyle Crowell; one sister, Rae Harper; and one sister-in-law, Betty Pridgen.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 51 years, Gene Pridgen of Marion; one son, Troy Gene Pridgen of Marion; one brother, Bill Crowell and his wife, Gloria, of Jasper, Texas; two brothers-in-law, James Pridgen of Marion, and Carl Pridgen and his wife, Linda, of Strong; plus several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were the deacons of Marion First Baptist Church, Bobby Hicks, Jimmy Dixon, Kenneth Franklin, Robert Gulley, Jimmy Binford, Boyce Keaster, Wayne Lowery, and Richard Towns.
Visitation was held at Marion First Baptist Church from 1 until 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
