TOPIC: Persecuted Christians
SCRIPTURE: Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. Hebrews 13:3
OBSERVATION: If we are part of the body of Christ, we must continually remember in prayer those who are suffering because of their faith. We must imagine we are in the prison with them, the writer of Hebrews says – and pray from that place of empathy.
PRAYER: Oh God, have mercy on our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. Continue to strengthen their faith, and may our faith be strengthened by their testimony. Make us ready, too, to boldly share our faith in spite of persecution.
