TOPIC: Local Congregations and Unity Among Them
SCRIPTURE: John 17:20-23
OBSERVATION: What would God pray for if He were to pray? We know what He would pray because He did in John 17. Jesus asked the Father that His followers would all be one just as the Triune God is one. Mutual love serving one another. This would bring about the conversion of the nations and help all to recognize that God loves them desperately.
PRAYER: Father, we pray with Jesus that you would help us to be one, unified in our love for you and one another. That we could get past ourselves and our clung-to differences. We pray that You would demonstrate through us Who you are. Demonstrate in us Your love for all humanity. Please bless each congregation in this city and surrounding area. Help us to show Jesus in us and to see Jesus in each other. We pray in Jesus' name.
