On March 1, 2022 the gates of Heaven opened up to welcome a most precious angel, Teddi Stone McGough, born September 27, 1934 in Boston, MA, with her heavenly celebration being hosted by her parents, Theodore and Gladys Stone, and her siblings, Peggy Reardon Lovelace, Shirley Caron, and Michael Stone. She was also welcomed by her husband of many years Charles H. (Bud) McGough.

To say she was cherished was an understatement. Teddi truly had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help out anyone in need. She held a special love for young people, children, and animals. She was often found at the center of many church youth activities, or in a preschool, loving and guiding young hearts. She felt that being in the “middle of a bunch of kids” made her feel young. She was often heard saying she believed kids were her calling. Miss Teddi, as she was affectionately known, will always be a part of many wonderful memories from those who knew, loved or were cared for by her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Cheryl Shulda of Springfield, MA, Mike (Carla) McGough of Hot Springs Village, Candi (David) Eckhoff and Cindi (Chris) Frisby, both of El Dorado, and Buddy (Judi) McGough of West Monroe, LA.

Even though she was an awesome mom, her most cherished title was Meme to: Kellie Jean (Raul) Jimenez, Ashley (Angie) Lieto, Christopher (Calley) Eckhoff, Elizabeth (Keith) Walker, Rachael “Rae” Vina, Emilie Shelander, Cara (Nathan) Cole, Tyler Chevallier, and Chase McGough. She also had many great and great-great grandchildren including Samantha (Chase) Crook who blessed us by staying with her, loving her, and keeping her safe for the past few months, for which we are so eternally grateful. She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, and other family members as well.

Teddi’s dear friend, Wanda Bryant, was often called the extra sister, and held a very special place in her heart and our family.

Last but not least, her fur baby, Dollar, who never left her side and was always in her shadow.

In her 87 years on this Earth, her goal was to share Christ’s love with as many people as possible. Her beautiful spirit, love and compassion are irreplaceable and will be forever missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7th, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Lyle Hern officiating. Interment will following Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers are Chris Eckhoff, Nathan Cole, Tyler Chevallier, Chase McGough, Danny Bryan and Michael Johnson.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Parkview Baptist Church, 608 W. 8th St., El Dorado, AR 71730.
