Patsy Marie Carelock, 80, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born June 20, 1941 to Alfred “Bun” and Jeroline Wallace McGaugh in El Dorado, AR.
Before her retirement, she worked as a teacher’s aide at Yocum Elementary School. Patsy loved her family especially her granddaughter, “Kenzie”, who was her greatest blessing. She loved gardening and scrapbooking and enjoyed her church family at West Side Baptist Church, where she had been a member for many years.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Julius Carelock; and sisters, Bobbie Langley, Betty Berry, and Jean Jackson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Russell “Rusty” Carelock; daughter, Janice Murphy (Terry), granddaughter, Mackenzie Murphy; great granddog, Pistol; bother, Alfred “Buddy” McGaugh (Waunita); and brother-in-laws, Jimmy Carelock, Donald Langley, and Jay Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 at West Side Baptist Church with Bro. David Voss officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
