The portion of College Avenue closed thoughout late December due to work by El Dorado Water Utilities is re-opened and fully accessible. City public works director Robert Edmonds said the project,which began on Saturday, Dec. 18, finished "a week ahead of schedule." The project involved re-connecting a 12-inch water main along College between South Parkway and 12th streets that and will "improve service for several businesses and houses in the area," according to previous News-Times reporting.
