by News-Times Staff | September 18, 2021 at 12:10 a.m.

STRONG – For the first time since 2017, Strong is off to a 2-0 start.

On Friday night, the Bulldogs knocked off Episcopal Collegiate 14-6 in an eight-man non-conference clash at Jerry Burson Field.

Heading into Friday’s game, the offenses for both schools had been dominant.

Strong (2-0) opened the season two weeks ago with a 54-0 win over Hermitage, while the Wildcats (1-2) had scored 102 points in wins over Mountain Pine and Marshall, but the defenses were in command in the first meeting between the schools.

Strong hits the road for the first time this season when they travel to Marvell next week.

Episcopal Collegiate will take on Little Rock Hall next week.
