Parkers Chapel falls at Magnet Cove

MAGNET COVE – The series between Magnet Cove and Parkers Chapel has been filled with plenty of drama through the years, but that wasn’t the case on Friday night, as the Panthers downed the Trojans 35-8.

The Panthers (2-2) scored the game’s first 35 points en route to snapping a two-game losing streak while also winning their second straight in the series against the Trojans.

Parkers Chapel (0-2) got their lone points on a 1-yard touchdown run by Payton Willeford with Lancer Clark adding the 2-point conversion late in the fourth quarter to make the final margin.

Willeford’s touchdown run was set up by a 40-yard run by Clark.

Parkers Chapel returns home to face Murfreesboro next week.

Magnet Cove hits the road to face Dierks next week.
