ESD releases Ready for Learning plan, reopens virtual and blended enrollment

The El Dorado School District has released its Ready for Learning plan, which includes comprehensive details about the district's plans for the school year in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The plan is available to read in full at eldoradopublicschools.org.

Parents are encouraged to read the plan and review it with their children before the start of the school year, which is scheduled for August 24.

The ESD had reopened enrollment for the Wildcat Online Academy, a fully-virtual learning option for students.

"Now that we have more information available to give our parents and students, we felt we needed to give one more opportunity for people to enroll in the Wildcat Online Academy or switch their enrollment to the Blended (on-site) Learning," ESD Superintendent Jim Tucker said. "Hopefully, the details in our plan will give parents the peace of mind they need to make the right choice for their family.”

Enrollment in WOA will be open today starting at 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Monday, July 27.

Parents who have enrolled their children in WOA who wish to change their enrollment to the ESD's blended on-site learning option, which will integrate technology into students five-day-a-week instruction, may also do so during this period.

Those that wish to switch to blended learning should send a written request via email to their child's school's representative. Those are:
