Harry Stevenson Jr.

Harry Frederick Stevenson, Jr., also known as Ricky or Pines, 69, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home after battling brain cancer. He was born on May 18, 1950 in El Dorado to Dollie Manning Stevenson and the late Harry F. Stevenson Sr.

Harry was of the Baptist faith and worked doing odd jobs as a handyman with a passion of working with wood and paint and was an artist at heart. People who knew him, knew his love of history and his passion for learning about the history in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Harry was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Harry F. Stevenson Sr.; step-father, Lyndal L. Stratton; and step-sister, Roxie Stratton; along with numerous aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dollie Stevenson Stratton; his brother, Bill "Smokes" Stevenson and wife Debbie; sister, Deanie Connor and husband Charles, all of El Dorado; step-sister, Pam Stratton Burns and husband Rex of Houston, Texas; nieces, DeAnn Connor Cates and Brandy Stevenson Silmon and husband Cody; nephews, Chuck Connor and wife Brandi, Mark Connor, and Zach Stevenson; numerous step-nieces, step-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a memorial visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at Bailey Funeral Home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Hudson Nursing Home and Life Touch Hospice for the excellent care Harry received during his illness.
