The Fairview Community Development Association, St. John Baptist Church, College Avenue Church of Christ and other community partners will be handing out school supplies on Saturday, Aug. 22, starting at 8 a.m. at Washington Middle School under the pavilion.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, those who stop by for school supplies are asked to adhere to social distancing and mask wearing guidelines as directed by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
This year’s distribution will be a drive-through only event. Those who come are asked to remain in their vehicles.
A child or children must be present with their parent in order to receive the supplies. The Salvation Army will also have their mobile canteen unit on-site.
El Dorado School District will provide school supplies for Kindergarten through fourth grade children. Parents from all schools in the area are welcome.
