El Dorado's Frazier records 20 tackles in loss

Sheridan rushed for 402 yards on 53 attempts Friday in a 41-26 win over El Dorado.

Even in defeat, the Wildcats’ Quentin Frazier managed to shine. The senior defensive end recorded a career-high 20 tackles, including 15 unassisted with a sack.

“He had a huge game. It seemed like he made a tackle every other snap. He continues to impress each week,” said El Dorado coach Steven Jones. “He’s currently leading the state in tackles. We’re just proud of how hard he’s playing. He’s leading us on that side of the ball and doing a great job.”

Frazier lead the Wildcats with 107 tackles on the season. Friday’s production came against an offense which singled him out as the player to avoid on most plays.

“It doesn’t matter who’s in front of him,” Jones said. “He knows how to get off blocks. He uses his hands so good on the defensive line. He doesn’t allow those offensive linemen to get into his body. He keeps good separation and he’s able to shed and make plays.”

Jacoby Hankton recorded 11 tackles, including one for a loss and forced a fumble. Carmerious Rucks had 10 tackles at linebacker.

El Dorado (1-5, 0-3) hosts Benton Friday at Memorial Stadium.
