Wasson to lead Entergy Arkansas southwest region

David Wasson has been promoted to senior manager of Entergy Arkansas Distribution Operations Southwest Region, based in Hot Springs.

Wasson replaces Todd Ederington, who retired. He served most recently as utility performance manager, where he helped identify employee behaviors that improved customer satisfaction, safety and reliability in order to improve operations company-wide.

“David brings an excellent combination of leadership qualities, skills and experience to the role,” said Melanie Taylor, vice president of distribution operations. “His inclusive people-focused leadership style, as well as his focus on safety, reliability and our customers, will make him a great addition to southwest region and the state.”

The Southwest region includes Montgomery, Garland, Hot Spring, Grant, Dallas, Clark, Nevada, Hempstead, Ouachita, Lafayette, Columbia, Calhoun and Union counties.

During his 12 years at Entergy, Wasson has held a variety of positions, beginning as an engineering associate in the El Dorado office, his hometown. He’s been a safety specialist and supervisor for the underground network in Little Rock. He recently spent time on special assignment in New Orleans on the Entergy’s Grid Modernization Readiness Team. Wasson’s team was responsible for incorporating new technology and innovative processes into the daily operations of the company.

When not at work, Wasson and his wife, Jessie, enjoy the outdoors and watching their daughter, Ava, play volleyball. They are active in their church and volunteer their time in the community.
