An ensemble of teens and young adults gathered at several homes across the city of El Dorado as well as other locations across the county to exercise good will as part of an ongoing mission project.

Hands grabbed paint scrapers and brushes as ladders elevated youthful optimisms to soaring heights along side weather worn homes.

The group is part of the Ozark Mission Project whose vision is,“to be a Christ-led mission opportunity offering a diverse cultural experience that equips youth to make a global difference.”

Homeowner Melissa Parker is the recipient of the gift.

“It is a blessing from God and they are wonderful examples of Christ’s love,” said Parker. "Its just wonderful.”

With help from local agencies, and other sources, recipients known as neighbors are identified said OMP participant Kinlee Ferguson. Ferguson is from Hornbeak, Tennessee and attends Arkansas State University. “I’ve participated every summer since 7th grade,” said Myers, a John Brown University music major and aspiring high school choir teacher.

The group is working out of the First united Methodist Church of El Dorado and plans to finish several homes with their servant hood approach this week.
