Speaker's Circuit

Brent Smith, owner of Slingin’ Arrows, will be the guest speaker when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon on Wednesday, at First Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Smith, who coaches the El Dorado High School archery team, opened Slingin' Arrows, an archery supply business, in August of 2015 after nearly 20 years as a bow hunter. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and has taught economics and history in El Dorado and Lonoke public schools.

He is a 2019 LFAA record holder for Three Spot, and is certified as a USA Archery Level 2 coach.

Come meet Brent and learn about archery. Kiwanis meetings are open to the public and lunch is available for purchase.

Cheryl Howell will be the speaker when the Rotary Club meets at noon at HealthWorks.

Howell, a board member at Turning Point of South Arkansas. She is a First Vice President at BancorpSouth and has been a resident of El Dorado for 14 months.

Howell has led high performance teams for some of America’s biggest commercial banks. She is a transformational trainer that inspires individuals and employees to become leaders who continually pursue excellence, direct goals toward personal ambitions while instilling the principles of maintaining a solid, consistent work ethic.

In addition to the banking and the corporate sector, Howell has developed programs for women executives, non-profits, and special populations such as welfare-to-work, victims of domestic violence, and more.

She is married, has two grown children and two very special furry friends.
