An El Dorado man was stabbed twice Wednesday, and police were still working Thursday to piece together the details of the incident.
Officers responded just after 5 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stabbing in the area of Wilson and Bruster.
Police said they made contact with 34-year-old Chaffin Brock in the driveway of a residence in the 700 block of Bruster.
Officers said there was a large amount of blood on the side of the road at the intersection of Wilson and Bruster.
Police said they followed a trail of blood that flowed south to the Bruster Avenue residence, through the house and into a rear carport, where they found Brock with two stab wounds.
Brock told police he had been living at the Bruster Avenue residence.
A suspect has been identified, police said.
The suspect reportedly left the scene in a green Jeep, with a female driver.
Few other details about the incident were available Thursday.
Chaffin was transported by ambulance to Medical Center of South Arkansas for treatment. A police report did not indicate if his injuries were life-threatening.
