Lady Wildcats cruise to conference road victory

TEXARKANA - El Dorado’s girls outscored Texarkana 40-17 in the second and third quarters and pulled away to a 67-41 conference win on Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats improved to 12-4 overall and 3-1 in league play.

Grace Murry paced El Dorado with a season-high 19 points.

“It wasn’t the greatest game but a win is a win,” said El Dorado coach Destinee Rogers. “We’ll take it and we’ll build off of it. We have a tough game coming up against Lake Hamilton. We’ll come to play.”

The game was knotted at 10-10 after one quarter. El Dorado built a 33-20 halftime advantage and was up 50-27 going into the final period.

Jessica Morton added 15 points and Tasia Richardson 12 for the Lady Wildcats. Diamond Hawthorne chipped in with nine.

Jayla Easter led the Lady Razorbacks (8-10, 0-4) with 12 points.

El Dorado travels to Lake Hamilton on Friday. Action begins at 6 p.m. with the varsity boys followed by the varsity girls game.
