Junction City knocks off Woodlawn for league win

JUNCTION CITY - Junction City’s senior high girls knocked off Woodlawn 47-44 Tuesday night.

The Lady Dragons improved to 7-3 overall and 7-1 in conference. The Lady Bears fell to 11-9, 5-5.

Woodlawn led 26-21 at the half. The contest was knotted at 30-30 going into the fourth.

Jada Archie led the Lady Dragons with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Bryanna Raye scored 12 points with six boards.

Taykeetria Rogers scored seven points, grabbed 11 rebounds and notched four steals.

Junction City lost the junior girls game 32-30 in overtime. Leisle Reddick led the Lady Dragons with 25 points.

The Lady Dragons travel to Hampton on Friday.

PARKERS CHAPEL 51,

HAMPTON 46

PARKERS CHAPEL - T.K. Burson scored eight points in the fourth quarter to help Parkers Chapel down Hampton. The Lady Trojans improved to 8-11 overall and 4-5 in league play.

Parkers Chapel led 10-7 after one quarter and 26-20 at the half. The Lady Bulldogs cut the lead to 39-37 going into the fourth.

Burson scored eight of PC’s 12 fourth quarter points. Ali Looney added a pair of free throws in the final period.

Burson led the Lady Trojans with 14 points. Drue Thomas and Kamryn Cross contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively. Taylor Fortune and Looney chipped in with seven and six, respectively.

Cameron Partain led Hampton with 14 points. Shelby Belin and Akira McRae added 13 and 10, respectively, with Jessica Floss scoring eight.

Parkers Chapel won the junior girls game 45-16.

Tess Monteith and Madison Sullivan led PC with 10 points apiece while Rebekah Hardy scored nine.

CENTERPOINT 38,

SMACKOVER 37

SMACKOVER - Jordyn White had 12 points for the Lady Bucks (8-11, 2-4), who fell in 7-3A play.

Camree Jones and Adriana Grant added six points apiece for Smackover, who plays at Fouke on Friday.

Jaide Vavra had a game-high 21 points for Centerpoint.
