The residents of the Hudson Memorial Nursing Home are receiving Valentine’s Day presents in the form of portraits from Kyra Dismuke Photography.

Kyra Dismuke and her husband, James, went to Hudson Memorial on Feb. 7 to take pictures of any residents who wanted to take part. The pictures will be delivered to residents today.

Dismuke has run her own photography business since 2012 when she was able to turn her hobby into a career.

Dismuke has done photoshoots at different senior living centers around town in connection with Lori DeWese with the UAMS South Arkansas Center on Aging as a way to give back to the community.

In December, she took Christmas pictures at Champagnolle Senior Living Center. She provides the residents with a complimentary print of the photo.

Along with the photoshoot, the staff at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home took a vote to name two residents the king and queen for their Valentine’s Day celebration. The staff voted James Sims and Diane Henricks as king and queen.
