A public art trivia contest sponsored by Murphy USA is offering participants a chance at winning one of five gas cards, totaling $1,000.
The contest is part of an effort to help make people more aware of public art available locally. To participate, people must look at 12 images of a portion of a public art piece, something that can be seen from the street or sidewalk and is in an area open to the public, and correctly identify the address or building name where each can be found. Finalists will then be entered into a drawing to win of five gas cards; three people will be awarded a $100 gas card, one person will be awarded a $200 gas card and another person will be awarded the grand prize of a $500 gas card.
To enter, visit eldoradoinsider.com/contest, where all images can be seen and an entry form can be filled out and submitted. Entry forms also can be found in the spring edition of the El Dorado Insider and can be returned by mail to Art Trivia, P.O. Box 202, El Dorado, AR 71730 or in person at the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce office at 111 W. Main St. in El Dorado.
Additional clues will be available through the El Dorado Insider’s social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
Entry forms are due by June 15 and winners will be announced on June 22.
