Young’s Funeral Home hands out flags to local veterans

Young’s Funeral Home is giving away U.S. flags to 100 veterans to honor and thank them for their service.

The flags will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for veterans until 4 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home.

“We believe that recognition of our military service and sacrifice for our country is an honor justly earned and deserved,” said Debra Faulkner, family service counselor. “Young’s Funeral Directors has a rich heritage of serving veterans and is proud to have handled arrangements for many veterans form coast to coast.”

Manager of the funeral home, David Garner said this is the fifth year that they have given away flags to veterans in the community for Fourth of July.

Young’s Funeral Home also has a veteran’s service that provides exclusive savings and benefits when using a pre-paid service plan.

The 3-by-5 flags are available, along with hors d’oeuvres, in the Magnolia room at Young’s Funeral Home, located at 508 Champagnolle Road.
