TOMMY L. KENDRICK, SR.

Tommy Lee Kendrick, Sr. was born March 30, 1941 in Union Springs, Alabama, the son of Katie B. Phillips, and Roosevelt Kendrick

He departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

He was baptized at an early age in Union Springs, Alabama. He was a member of Greater Paradise Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years serving as deacon, a trustee, and church treasurer.

He was the first African-American Salesman at Zales Jewelers in the early 60s. He retired from Congra in March of 2003 with over 24 years of service. He was a devoted husband to his wife whom he affectionately called Cille. He loved his children his motto Family is important.. There was nothing he couldnt fix in the eyes of his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Erica Lynn Kendrick, and son Tommy Lee Kendrick, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 58 years: Lucille Nelon Kendrick, one sister, Lillie Mae Phillips Brisco of Los Angeles CA, children Sandra D. (Kelvin) Anderson of Benton, AR, Mechelle Kendrick, El Dorado AR, Steffon E. (Lucresha) Kendrick, Manor, TX, Kimberly M. (Wayne) Smith, Camden, AR, Katie M. (Marlon) Boyce, Birmingham, AL, Yolanda N. Kendrick, El Dorado, AR, and Eric T. Kendrick, Dallas TX, 30 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, and nephews.

Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at St.James Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
