Gail Johnson, 80, of Texarkana, AR formerly of Strong, AR, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She was born November 21, 1938 in Union County, AR. Gail formerly owned a television repair store in Strong and was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, sewing, and crafts.
Preceding her in death are her father, Pruitt Stanley; mother, Catherine Hester Stanley Boggs; husband, Jackie Johnson; brother, David Stanley; and sister, Helen “Mickey” Humberd.
Survivors include her son, Richard Johnson (Delilah); grandson, Christopher Johnson; great granddaughter, Nora Johnson all of Texarkana, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Tommy Nash officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sweet Home Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
