Smackover’s first season under coach Brian Brown was a successful one, as the Bucks captured the 5-3A title and reached the state quarterfinals.
The Bucks were rewarded with several members earning All-Conference honors.
On offense, quarterback Roshard Boone, running back Greg Turner, wide receiver Jaqueze Modica and offensive linemen Alex Savage, Trevor Pyron, Max Gathright and William Mitchell all were tabbed as All-Conference selections.
On defense, defensive linemen K.J. King and Preston Davis were selected, as were linebackers Javon Modica and Dawson Biggers along with defensive backs Jaheem Sims and Dexter Crockett.
Defensive back Breylon Love, linebacker Hadden Jonio, offensive lineman Brooks Tolin and defensive lineman Brylee Monrreal were honorable mention.
