To the Editor,
I hope the voters knew what they were doing when they voted in the casino licensing amendment.
It will only breed organized crime, and support people’s gambling addictions. Children of gambling addicts will have to do without food, clothes and medicines. The first priority in those homes will be their parents’ gambling lust. As the old saying goes, “there is no such thing as a free lunch.” That is what drives compulsive gamblers! Isn’t the world already too much like Sodom and Gomorrah, with pornography, mass shooting, sexual predators? Why breed more corruption and moral decay? That is what passage of this amendment will do. Fortunately, this evil and unjust world will meet it’s end with fire. Read 2 Peter, Peter writes that the heavens will pass with a fervent heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. And John wrote, in Revelation 21:8, that liars, thieves, idolaters, the occult, the sexually perverse will all spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. It is not surprising in a society that calls right wrong, and wrong right that they will pass a law that breeds extra corruption.
