DEAN J. COLLINS
Dean ” Diane” Jackson Collins, 61, of El Dorado, passed away Nov. 4, 2017 at Medical Center of South Arkansas.
She was born Aug. 8, 1956 in Houston, Texas to John Henry and Ora Mae Jackson Blunt.
She attended school in the El Dorado School District and was a graduate of South Arkansas Community College.
She was a member of New Jerusalem in Magnolia and she worked for 45 years at the El Dorado Golf and Country Club in food prep, later becoming the head cook, and lastly the kitchen supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister.
Survivors are her husband, James G. Collins; daughters, Tabitha Collins, and Brandy Purifoy all of El Dorado, and Angie Collins of Shreveport, Louisiana; three grandchildren; sisters, Linda Mims of Houston, Texas, Gloria Smith, and Eddie Mae Ross, both of El Dorado, Shelia Sanders of San Francisco, California, and Floyeshia Miller of Little Rock.
Visitation will be held from noon until 5 p.m. today at Sims Mortuary with a family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at New Providence Baptist Church.
Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
