EL DORADO - With spring break winding down, local baseball teams are getting back into the swing of things by competing in tournaments across the state this weekend.

After playing two games in Florida, Smackover will be competing in the Magnolia Tournament starting this morning.

The Bucks, who split their two games in Florida, will face Hot Springs Lakeside at 11:15 a.m.

Joining Smackover in the field at the Magnolia Tournament is Parkers Chapel.

The Trojans face the winner between Genoa Central and Camden Fairview at 1:30 p.m.

Should the Bucks and Trojans prevail, they would meet in the semifinals on Friday afternoon.

The schools have already played twice this season with the Trojans and Bucks splitting one-run games.

Junction City is off to a 9-3 start after topping Hamburg in extra innings last week, and the Dragons will be tested this weekend at the Mayflower Classic.

Junction City will play back-to-back games today against Mayflower and Searcy.

The Dragons take on the Eagles at 10 a.m. before facing the Lions at 12:30 p.m.

After falling just short in a 1-0 loss to Greenwood last week, El Dorado heads to Little Rock this weekend to compete in the Central Arkansas Invitational.

The Wildcats will take on Sylvan Hills at 2:30 p.m. today in their opener.

El Dorado will play a second game on Thursday against either Conway or Arkadelphia.

Should the Wildcats win, they will play at 7:30 p.m., but if they fall, they will play at 5 p.m. Both of El Dorado's games today are scheduled to be played at Sylvan Hills High School.
