Travis Edward Johnston, 53, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his home.
Travis was born December 30, 1969 in El Dorado, AR to Doyle Edward Johnston and Robbie Ables Johnston Barnette. Travis fought a courageous battle with cancer. He spent many years as a truck driver, but had found his “home” at WillTran. Even when sick, he talked about getting back to work.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barnie and Viola Ables, Ernie and Maude Johnston, his father, Doyle Johnston, step-father, Cortez Barnette and other close relatives.
Travis is survived by his devoted wife, Gretchen McCurry-Johnston, his daughter, Harley Marissa West and husband Jacob, his precious granddaughter, Thea Faye West, son, Hunter Johnston, mother, Robbie Barnette, brother William Johnston, Gretchen’s two sons, Luke McCurry and Ty McCurry, as well as many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until memorial services at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Downey officiating. Cremations arrangements provided by Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR
